Key Words: the watery aspect of air; cutting through old masks and roles; clarity; rational, intellectual, logical, objective.

Setting aside your masks, renouncing the security offered by playing familiar roles means the voluntary giving-up of habitual defense mechanisms. By using the sword of penetrating insight you come to recognize that the masks you wear not only protect and camouflage, but also separate you from your Self and others. Energetic cutting through of your masks liberates you and the Queen of Sword leads you out of the surrounding clouds into clarity and openness.

The crystals behind her head, symbols of new clarity, support the head of a child. Behind the discarded masks are revealed a natural, child-like innocence that is now set free. The openness and receptiveness of a child, in conjunction with sharp, crystal clear insight into a person or a situation is a basic requirement for the work of a counselor or therapist. S/He must be prepared to let the masks drop, and may not allow her/himself to become entangled in the emotional complexities of a situation. Only in this way does the counselor earn real trust, or retain a real capability to offer healing in a helpful environment.

Indications: You are in the process of separating yourself more and more from old roles and behavior patterns. This may bring painful experiences with it. But it’s worth it! The clarity you gain frees you.

Questions: Which are the roles you most easily and most often hide behind? Are you ready to drop them?

Suggestion: Observe yourself in your different roles. Some you will continue to play, but now with more awareness. You will play them until you no longer identify yourself with them.

Affirmation: My only duty in life is to remain true to myself

Thank you for a great post

    1. Good morning. The part about the masks. Yes, I agree because often one believes itโ€™s out of kindness, and not honesty. Itโ€™s a hard choice. Itโ€™s easier to say Iโ€™m fine, when one is not. Thank you for stopping by.
