Dusky – Resin (Midland Reshape)
Following on from the more house-centred “Stick By This Remixed EP1”, the second EP offers five exciting reworks from the worlds of techno, electronica and garage.
A favourite from his Boiler Room set earlier in the summer, Midland’s hypnotic reshape of “Resin” takes things deep down into a ghostly techno tunnel. T. Williams brings a fresh carnival groove to the soulful piano house of “Lost In You” (feat. Janai), whilst Synkro continues his recent purple patch with a dubby two-step rework of the Leftfield-esque “I’m Running” (feat. Soloman) – a favourite of the legendary Francois K.
Completing the package, GoldFFinch transform “Stick By This” into a ravey warehouse techno jam, and Ben Gomori gives “Thoughts & Motions” a bumpy garage relick.
Dusky is an electronic music duo from London consisting of Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman. Formed in 2011, they have released music on various records labels, before setting up their own label 17 Steps in July 2014 with the release of the Love Taking Over EP. Wikipedia
