A common aspect to most interpretations of this card within a reading is to introduce an element of change in the querent’s life, such change being in station, position or fortune: such as the rich becoming poor, or the poor becoming rich.
Wheel of Fortune
NOUN (in mythology and literature) a revolving device spun by a deity of fate selecting random changes in human affairs.
- the wheel which the goddess of fortune was believed to rotate to bring about the alternations or reverses in human affairs.
- the changes or vicissitudes of life.
Change is coming, whether or not you like it! Fate has stepped in and is calling the shots, moving you into a critical phase of your life. You may have felt things are outside of your control, and they are. You can choose to complain or you can choose to adapt. There is comfort in uncertainty, even if the unknown feels intimidating. Life isn’t random. These changes have a purpose. Life is full of cycles, and it’s impossible to have the good times without the bad times. Contrast is not only necessary but inevitable. Just because events feel out of control, doesn’t mean you take a back seat. Remain active and avoid complacency. Trust this is where you need to be right now.
Here’s a challenge – say yes to everything life offers and see what happens. When you open yourself to the possibilities, you are also opening yourself up to opportunities not possible had you turned down that invitation. It’s time to let go of control and to go with the flow. Take that spontaneous bike ride and go down a path you’ve never been on before. Reach out to a connection to meet for coffee. Tap into your network of friends to see who wants to collaborate with you. This is a new cycle appearing for you, which means change is coming. Approaching it with an attitude of saying yes can widen the possibilities ahead of you.
“No, Time, thou shalt not boast that I do change:
Thy pyramids built up with newer might
To me are nothing novel, nothing strange;
They are but dressings of a former sight …”
William Shakespeare, Sonnet 123.

One response to “Life isn’t random. These changes have a purpose.”
“Network of friends and see who wants to collaborate”
Talk about synchronicities! I literally heard this for the first time yesterday! Can I expanded my mind and all sorts of ways! networking! What’s the new thing on working on now in my life… A thing I find was a bit unbalanced before for a long while so the way I see it is I’ve learned a lot and how to make a balanced bit of networking now 🙂 thank you so much for this post this beautiful moment this miraculous morning! 🙂
