Black Canyon, Ashcroft BC – Josh White

Born as a connection between the railway and the Cariboo Wagon Road, Ashcroft has a history steeped in transportation and agriculture – potatoes, tomatoes, and today, melons and ginseng. The ranching industry grew in response to miners needs for beef, and grain and hay to feed mules and oxen. Ashcroft is the kind of community you would want to raise your family, retire and grow old in. Ashcroft is diverse and has installed a rainbow crosswalk to celebrate our recognition and acceptance the diversity which makes up humankind.
